After Halloweekend, literary events are in full force—continuing author tours, new book launches, and readings around the province. 

Meet bestselling author Chris Czajkowski and her lovable pack dog Harry as she continues her book tour around the province. Meet Chris (and Harry!) on Tuesday, October 31 in Barriere, 100 Mile House on Wednesday, November 1, and in Williams Lake on Thursday, November 2.

Pauline Le Bel launches Whale in the Door: A community unites to protect BC’s Howe Sound, a story of biological resilience as a community struggles to shape a vision for its future. Pauline begins her book tour on Gabriola Island on Wednesday, November 1, Nanaimo on Thursday, November 2, and Victoria on Friday, November 3.

Two local poets, Barbara Pelman and Susan Alexander, launch their latest collections at Munro’s Books in Victoria on Wednesday, November 1.

Jay Sherwood launches Surveying the Great Divide: The Alberta/BC Boundary Survey, 1913-1917 on Thursday, November 2 in VancouverSurveying the Great Divide looks at the work crews from 100 years ago who risked their lives working in remote, mountainous terrain documenting the boundary between Alberta and BC.

The Alcuin Society is holding their annual Wayzgoose at the downtown branch of the Vancouver Public Library on Saturday, November 4. This is a fantastic event for anyone interested in bookmaking, bookbinding, printmaking, and other handmade book arts.
