Incite: A Free Reading Series is presented by the Vancouver Writers Fest and Vancouver Public Library
What could be better than spending your Valentine’s Day with talented writers discussing the triumphs—and pitfalls—of modern marriage? On February 14, Incite will feature work from the forthcoming anthology, Love Me True: Writers Reflect on the Ins, Outs, Ups and Downs of Marriage (Caitlin Press).
Alice McKay Room at VPL Central
FREE – RSVP to let us know you’re coming.
Presenters will include:
Mandy Len Catron, the acclaimed author of How to Fall in Love with Anyone, will share her perspective-shifting essay about anniversaries—including why we measure commitments the way we do.
Kevin Chong, the celebrated author of Baroque-a-Nova, Beauty Plus Pity, and Neil Young Nation, will share his poignant piece about becoming a stepfather.
Fiona Tinwei Lam and Jane Silcott, the esteemed editors of Love Me True, will share their own writings from the book, as well as what they learned from editing an anthology about marriage in all its complexities.
Join us for a witty, wondrous, and love-filled event that’s bound to make this Valentine’s Day more memorable than the last.
Incite is generously supported by the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association and Vancouver Courier.
