This year at Word Vancouver, six of the poets selected this year for the long-running Poetry in Transit campaign will read from their latest collections.

Our host is Evelyn Lau. She is the Vancouver author of twelve books, including seven volumes of poetry. Her work has received the Milton Acorn Award, the Pat Lowther Award, a National Magazine Award and a Governor-General’s nomination. Evelyn’s poems have been chosen for the Best American Poetry and Best Canadian Poetry anthologies; she served as Vancouver’s Poet Laureate from 2011-2014. Her most recent collection is Tumour (Oolichan, 2016).
