BC titles nominated for the 30th annual Lambda Literary Awards

Lambda Literary, America’s oldest and largest literary arts organization advancing LGBTQ literature, announced the finalists of the 30th Annual Lambda Literary Awards today. The “Lammys,” as they are affectionately known, celebrate achievement in LGBTQ writing.

Congratulations to all the authors and publishers nominated for the 30th Annual Lambda Literary Awards. We were so excited to see a number of Canadian-authored books and three BC books too.

  • The Clothesline Swing by Ahmad Danny Ramadan (Nightwood Editions)
  • What the Mouth Wants: A Memoir of Food, Love and Belonging by Monica Meneghetti (Caitlin Press | Dagger Editions)
  • a place called No Homeland by Kai Cheng Thom (Arsenal Pulp Press)

NOTE: Joshua Whitehead was shortlisted for a Lambda Literary Award in the Trans Poetry category for full-metal indigiqueer: the pro(1,0)zoa (Talonbooks). Earlier this week he decided to withdraw himself from the nomination. He explained the decision here.
