Special Event with Dr. Brian Goldman: The Casino Shift

The Sechelt Hospital Foundation and the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts are excited to present an afternoon with Dr. Brian Goldman, a veteran emergency room physician, bestselling author, and the host of the long-running CBC Radio show White Coat, Black Art and the health podcast The Dose.

Dr. Goldman speaks with moderator Joanna Piros about his new book, The Casino Shift: Stories from an ER on the Edge, an hour-by-hour account of a healthcare system at a critical inflection point. With inspiring stories about diagnoses made, puzzles solved, and lives saved, The Casino Shift is a raw, revealing, and compelling look at life on the front line. Books will be available for sale courtesy of Talewind Books.
