DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, April 23 at 2pm\, join the Friends of the White Rock Library in celebrating local literature for the Read Local: Author’s Open House. This entertaining afternoon program features five local authors reading from their latest works. Read Local is a wonderful opportunity for avid readers and aspiring writers to connect with local literary talent and hear their unique perspectives on their craft. This years authors are: Alison Acheson (Dance Me to the End)\, Taslim Burkowicz (Ruby Red Skies)\, Joseph Dandurand (The East Side of It All)\, George Garrett (George Garrett – Intrepid Reporter)\, and Simon Choa-Johnston (House of Daughters). \nAttendees will be able to purchase books directly from the featured authors.
