Gayton explores diverse aspects of Okanagan ecology and culture in The Sky and the Patio (New Star Books). Hackinen recounts an epic bicycle trip in South Away (NeWest Press)\, pedalling from Terrace\, BC down to (almost) the tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. Both Gayton and Hackinen have received awards for their writing. \nThe launch takes place at the Ryga Arts Centre\, Tuesday\, March 14\, beginning at 7:00 pm. Enns invites us to peer and is concerned always with the locations and dislocations perspective implies and creates. \nFalse Creek\, Jane Munro’s collection\, balances her signature themes—dream life\, the visual arts\, the mysteries of the natural world—with an urgent\, more directly political voice.
