Galiano Literary Festival starts off today, February 23 with workshops, and then readings throughout the weekend. Check our snapshot of events at the festival, with authors Ashley Little, Charlie Demers, George Bowering, Leesa Dean, and more.

It’s been six years without a poetry festival on Gabriola Island, but now Poetry Gabriola is reinvented and reinvigorated. Join them this weekend, February 24-25, for two nights of fantastic poetry and community on Gabriola Island.

Author and historian Howard Macdonald Stewart will be at the museum in Campbell River on Saturday, February 24, to present a talk on his book, Views of the Salish Sea.

The launch from the heart is on Wednesday, February 28, with a more than a dozen contributors in attendance. Love Me True had a fantastic reading on Valentine’s Day at Incite, and if you’re in Vancouver you will definitely want to go to this lovefest.

Historian and author Eve Lazarus always has fantastic events. On Wednesday, February 28, join Eve at the West Vancouver Memorial Library for tales from her latest book, Blood, Sweat, and Fear (Arsenal Pulp Press).

The monthly Writer’s Studio reading series takes place on the first Thursday of every month at Cottage Bistro.The short month of February always throws off the last week, but this time in a good way. It means that the Writer’s Studio Reading Series takes place on Thursday, March 1 with featured reader Paul Hendrick!
