Every year, we at Read Local BC enjoy nothing more than bringing you the best of what BC publishers and writers have to offer. As we gear up for a whole new year’s worth of enlightening, humorous, edifying, and moving BC-published books, we’re taking a moment to revisit some of the books and conversations that captured our minds and hearts in 2025.
Every year, we select ten BC-authored and Canadian-published poems to feature on bus cards throughout the region. Read on to hear from Susan Alexander, Jen Currin, Junie Désil, Renée Harper, Joseph Kidney, Natalie Lim, Christine Lowther, Lauren Peat, Tom Wayman, and Calvin Wharton.
From seafood to sweet treats, these BC books invite you on a flavourful journey through culinary traditions from around the world that have influenced what we cook and how we eat at home.
